​Craig Elementary School Clubs/Activities 

​Our mission, in cooperation with parents and community, is to provide a safe, supportive environment where students achieve academic excellence, develop social responsibility, and are inspired to learn.

Academic Assistance - Free help offered to all students before and after school.  All year  Ask your child's teacher for details.

AKS Clubs - Offers everything from Legos, Art, Science, Cooking  -  to Sudoku in the Fall and Spring. Two times a year for 6 weeks.  Look for flyers sent home and posted on this web site closer to the start.

BETA CLUB - "The Junior Beta club is lead by  Dorrie Gann. Administrative support is provided by Ms. Binion.  This community service driven club is made up of 5th grade students who were nominated by their homeroom teachers for having a good scholastic record, as well as showing good citizenship. Our motto is: "Let us lead by serving others."

Weekly News Show - Written, Produced and Hosted by Craig students weekly.  All year.  Done as part of class work in  5th grade.

Chorus - 4th and 5th grade students wanting to participate meet Tuesdays and Wednesdays before school at 7:15 AM.

Planet Green Team - Planet Green Team is open to 5th graders, through an application process due to limiting spacing. We recycle for our school, paper, cans and bottles. We also do activities that are related to the environment. We have a fund-raiser where we sell smencils to the students to raise money for Craig's recycling program. Karen Greenblat is the facilitator.

Running Club - Craig Colts Cross Country Running is sponsored by Mrs. Weigand. This is a club for 3-5th graders only. The focus is on developing running skills through adventures like: trail running, campus runs, shuttle runs, relay running, speedwork, stretching, and a variety of cardiovascular endurance activities. The Cross Country Club typically meets in the fall and spring for about 5-6 weeks. Students must be picked up at 4:15 on club days.

Readers Rally - Readers Rally is a reading quiz bowl style competition for students in grades four through five. Students read books from a pre-determined list and answer questions about those books.Club will meet on designated afternoons in preparation for county competition.
